Jason Smith, MD, FACC
Background
Dr. Smith is an invasive cardiologist with particular interest in noninvasive imaging and consultative cardiology and is currently board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases.
He graduated Summa cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Miami University. During medical school at the University of Cincinnati, he was elected into the medical honorary Alpha Omega Alpha and received numerous student awards. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Cincinnati Hospital before matriculating through The Cardiovascular Institute at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In 2008 he was voted one of Cincinnati’s “Top Doctors” by Cincinnati Magazine and was also elected as a Fellow into the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Smith is actively involved in policy implementation, patient care, and peer review within the Mercy Hospital system. He currently is serving as the chair of the Department of Medicine at Mercy Mt. Airy Hospital. He also regularly does inpatient rounds and performs procedures at Good Samaritan Hospital. Since 2005, he has helped deliver cardiovascular care to the people of Southeastern Indiana. He is available weekly to see outpatients at the Hansen Center in Batesville, Indiana.
Born and raised in Ohio, Dr. Smith is excited to be living and working in his adopted home town of Cincinnati.
