Intervential Cardiologist Joins CMH Medical Staff

To better serve cardiology patients in the Wilmington area, The Ohio Heart & Vascular Center has added an eighth physician to The Ohio Heart office at The Clinton Memorial Hospital. In April, interventional cardiologist Ian J. Sarembock, MB, CHB, MD, FACC, joined the Clinton Memorial team. Dr. Sarembock has been named to the 2007-2008 Best Doctors in America database as one of the top clinicians in the country. He was selected for this honor by fellow physicians nationwide and also received the prestigious honor in 2003 and 2004. Dr. Sarembock is board certified in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology. He has an extensive publication list in multiple areas of research and management of cardiovascular disease, including acute and chronic coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease and interventional cardiology. Before joining Ohio Heart, Dr. Sarembock spent 19 years at the University of Virginia, most recently as the Harrison Distinguished Teaching Professor of Internal Medicine and Director of the Center for Interventional Cardiology.
